Pine View Auto Sales – Service – Leasing operates as an independent retail automobile dealership on the corner of Hwy 7 and Weston Road. Pine View has served the Vaughan community for over 40 years.
In 1970 Dom Romeo then owner and founder of Pine View Pontiac Buick Sales Ltd, established his General Motors Dealership on the corner of Highway 7 and Kipling Ave. Dom started in the automobile business in 1949 as an auto mechanic at West York Chevrolet-Oldsmobile in the west end of Toronto.
As the area of Vaughan continued to grow so did Pine View. In 1985 and in 1989 Pine View completed two separate additions to its building. Today the complex is almost 40,000 square feet and Pine View employed as many as 80 people.
Over the years Pine View has become a family business with Dom’s 3 sons all joining him in the business. Dom’s eldest son, Frank has worked since 1978 with his father. In 2001 Frank became President and General Manager of Pine View. In 2003 Dom opened Airport Nissan, located at Airport Road and Highway 7 in East Brampton. Dom’s son Mark is the General Manager.
In the spring of 2009 General Motors went through a major corporate restructuring and the Pontiac Motor Division was closed and 240 Pontiac Dealers across the country were eliminated including Pine View. Dom and Frank quickly transitioned to an independent auto dealer and rolled over the company name to Pine View Auto Sales & Leasing Ltd.
In 2010 Pine View Auto was proud and excited to take on the Hyundai line of cars. In the last few years Hyundai has made a concerted effort to distinguish itself from it’s competitors. A quick glance at any model in the line will make you look twice.
The Romeo family is very proud of its employees and their accomplishments over the years. We are particularly proud to have received the Mayor’s Vaughan Corporate Community Award and to be a 5 time recipient of the General Motors Triple Crown Award recognizing the top 100 dealers in Canada for outstanding customer satisfaction and total retail sales.
